Chingaza Paramo (with Siecha)

Col-paramos-lag.chingaza

(For the moment with Google Translator). The Chingaza Paramo is 70 km east of the capital, Bogota. It is, after Sumapaz Paramo second largest in Colombia with an area of 76,600 hectares and altitudes ranging between 2,000 m and 4,100 m. The sector is also part of Siecha Chingaza. It is one of the more variation moorland landscapes with cliffs, lakes, streams and rich flora and fauna. It is protected as a National Park since 1977.

The park has a large number of flora and fauna and its appeal lies in its pristine and wild places, which are - except Siecha - very little traveled by walkers and farmers in the area.

The hikes proposed here are displayed on an interactive map ( see description of routes ) and also can see "color" on Chingaza photo gallery .
